About NSFAS

The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) is a government-funded program that provides financial assistance to eligible students pursuing higher education at public universities and technical and vocational Education and training(TVET) colleges in South Africa. NSFAS funding covers tuition, accommodation, food, and other essential needs.

Eligibility Criteria

  • South African citizen.
  • Household income of R350,000 or less per annum.
  • Academic Performance: Meet the minimum academic requirements for admission to a university or TVET college.
  • Registered or intending to register at a public university or TVET college.

How to Apply

  1. Visit the official NSFAS website: www.nsfas.org.za.
  2. Create a MyNSFAS account.
  3. Fill out the application form: Complete the online application form and submit it.
  4. Upload the required documents: Upload the required documents, such as your ID, proof of income, and academic records.
